The Foundation was established to concentrate entirely on research and informing the scientific and medical communities of any findings. There are many large and small organisations who give excellent advice and support to patients, their families and carers. We receive grants and donations from trusts and individuals who wish to support our research and would not be happy if these funds were diverted to answering a constant stream of emails.
We know how important it is for sufferers, their family and friends to be up-to-date with any developments which are taking place so we have what we refer to as an occasional newsletter which is sent to our donors. While a brief account of research being funded by the Foundation is displayed on our website a fuller account is always contained in our newsletters. These donors have made this research possible through their generosity so we must inform them of the use it is being put to. We are not a membership organisation, but we need funds to enable our work to go ahead. We welcome any donations whether large or small.
